Panic Anxiety – How Do You Get Rid Of It For Good?
Panic Anxiety – What’s That?
Every year an increasing number of people go to their doctors and complain about stress symptoms like feeling run-down and problems to handle their life. They tell their doctor about weird and often body-related symptoms they have had lately and become almost shocked when he diagnoses them as suffering from panic attacks or anxiety. Most people have probably heard about such diagnoses, without actually knowing what they entail.
The Symptoms of a Panic Attack
It is easy to recognize the symptoms of a panic attack. Most symptoms are located in the upper part of the body.
Symptoms related To the Heart
A frequent and dramatic symptom is heart palpitations. This symptom is characterized by fast increasing heartbeats or the heart pounds very loudly. As a result of the heart pounding, the patient often feels chest pain as well.
Stomach Related Symptoms
Another frequent symptom is related to the stomach, such as nausea and sometimes bloating.
Difficulty Breathing
The third main symptom is problems with breathing. The patients feel they are unable to catch their breath or they feel they don’t get oxygen enough. Sometimes they can feel like they are being suppressed.
Lightheadedness and Dizziness
Dizziness is also very common sometimes to an extent where they feel they will collapse. As a matter of fact, some people do collapse, so also with lightheadedness that some patients get rather than dizziness. They have to sit down to avoid fainting.
Other Body related Symptoms
Other physical symptoms are paleness, hot flashes, chills and other.
In most cases panic attacks last only a very short time but can also last for several minutes.
Why Do Panic Attacks Occur?
Most experts agree that the causes of panic attacks are psychological malfunctioning in the body’s alarm system. The symptoms of panic attack described above are natural reactions for normal persons when they feel their life threatened in one way or another. When a person has a panic attack their body is convinced by their mind that something horrible is going to happen.
As for social anxiety and anxiety in general, fear is considered as the root cause of panic attacks even in cases where the actual fears themselves are different. Most doctors also agree that much life stress can trigger the beginning of panic attacks and that even certain drugs or medications can make some people to experience panic anxiety or attacks.
